The fabric is a renewed SVIN COTTON MURA YARN BACK SATIN from the 25AW season. Back satin is also known as reverse satin weave, where the reverse side of the fabric is woven in a satin pattern, giving it a lustrous finish. It is highly durable and has been a staple material in military-style clothing for many years.
This fabric was analyzed from vintage U.S. military Baker pants and recreated using the highest quality SUVIN COTTON, with updates made. To achieve the unique uneven texture using long-fiber SUVIN COTTON, the yarn was developed through detailed settings and multiple prototypes. Both the warp and weft threads are 100% SUVIN COTTON, resulting in a high-density fabric with a soft texture and smooth feel. The fabric becomes more flexible with each wash, developing a rich texture. It is a material that ages beautifully over time.
This season, the color has been updated to a deeper olive shade. The design and details, such as the urea buttons and double-stitched pockets, are inspired by the Baker pants adopted by the U.S. military in the early 1970s. The clean straight silhouette makes it versatile enough to pair with sneakers or leather shoes, achieving a balance between "maturity" and "casualness."
